This is a stylish building from the 60’s, with sturdy walls and real wooden floor. A lot of charm. It’s located across from Parque de las Esculturas and 2 blocks from the Los Leones metro station in the heart of Providencia, central to lots of shopping and dining.
The apartment is spacious with 90 m2 wide, the apartment includes three bedrooms — one of them currently used as a studio –, two bathrooms, and a spacious and fully equipped kitchen to bring to life your best recipes.
The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom, a single bed. The living room sofa is actually a bed too — just take away the pillows and tuck yourself in. There’s also a Graco Pack ‘n Play crib that you can use if you need it.
This makes the apartment a great fit for small families (e.g. one or two kids) or couples.
The apartment is clean and bright, and is fully furnished. It includes a washing machine, a new Internet-ready TV set — which we bought after taking the pictures –, a computer monitor to plug yourself in, a vintage stereo equipment waiting for your iPod and, of course, a solid Wi-Fi connection that works throughout all rooms.
The washing machine is placed on the secondary bathroom’s shower, so that’s why the bathroom count is 1.5.
Guest Access
We have a cleaning lady that comes once in a week and can also prepare food for you if you ask her — she’s a very talented cook so you probably should!
When she asks, just remember to tell her the magic word: “sorpréndameâ€.
The Neighborhood
To sum it up, if Providencia is number one place to stay in Santiago, then Pedro de Valdivia Norte is definitely the number one place to stay in Providencia. It’s right next to everything, without being right in the middle of it. So if you want peace and tranquility, you can surely have it.
Actually, right across our street there’s a small but awesome park called Parque de las Esculturas (Sculptures Park) where you can go and chill out any time.
Getting around
Our apartment is right across the Mapocho river, meaning you can go by foot to everthing Providencia has to offer. If you want to go downtown, just take a five minute walk to Los Leones station (Linea 1) and take the subway, or grab a taxi using Uber or the SaferTaxi app and just wait by the door until they pick you up.
